use any 20W50 GX-type oil (Palma's uses Egypt oil)
in winter, may want to switch to a straight 30 oil
use regular spark plugs
check points every 3000 miles, consider switching to electronic ignition,
i.e. "MSD" unit
clean all contacts and use Radio Shack jell to prevent oxidation on all contacts
BRAKLEEN for engine cleaning (or something else that is non-flammable)
Use "Marvel Mystery Oil" - will lubricate engine (take place of
lead) and prevent water build-up and tank rust
DON'T use STP - it is bad for rubber parts, best for fuel injected engines
Apply tar or aluminum spray to under carriage to stop rust - use wire brush
first

-intake valve guide in cylinder #2 shattered; pieces of
it down in cylinder #2 which got scrapped up
-no damage to head or piston
-"if it were mine, I'd install a big bore kit, do a
valve job, and that's it" -Chris Radbill
June 16 machine shop
-machine shop reports cylinder heads without yet valves
installed are 61cc.
-they were 61cc before flycutting or valve job
-one was .008 higher than the other
-they are now 62cc all cylinders

-take it easy for 500 miles -keep it under 4000rpm
-deep sump to engine - no gasket - used same stuff
as used for engine case
-now holds a little over 6 quarts of oil
-oil's been changed twice & valves adjusted twice
-much difficulty inserting rings - couldn't hold with
needle-nose pliers
-transmission oil seal replaced
-exhaust was difficult to put back on, due to cylinders
slightly longer causing heads to be slightly farther apart
-exhaust had to be heated to be put back on
-there are pin-holes in exhaust (you can hear them)
